What makes Caerphilly a great place to live you ask. Well there are many reasons that make it great but we are going to tell you about a few of them...
History
If you didn't know Caerphilly is steeped in medieval history. For one we have the Caerphilly Castle, it is Wales' largest and Britain's second largest castle behind Windsor, Dominating an impressive 30-acre site! Once an ‘early medieval kingdom’, the area that became known as ‘Glamorgan’ was a conflict point between the Norman lords and the Welsh princes, with the area being defined by a large concentration of castles. After falling under English rule in the 16th century, Glamorgan became a more stable county and exploited its natural resources to become an important part of the British Industrial Revolution. This is just a snippet of the long history of the town.
